ABOUT JAMES MOORE

ABOUT JAMES G. MOORE
I am James G Moore . I grew up in Ft Collins and Loveland Colorado and was exposed to the
growing sculpture scene in Loveland Colorado starting as a teenager. I earned a BA and MEd in
art education and taught middle and high school art in Greeley Colorado for 15 years. I worked
on building my portfolio and business during that time and became a full time sculptor in 2007 . I
moved to Wenatchee Washington in 2019 when I met and married my wife Rebecca. I love the
area with its abundance of orchards and vineyards, ready access to water activities and access
to wilderness. I spend a lot of time hiking, biking and paddling my kayak and this is the perfect
place to do all of those things.
I am recognized for my bells which combine mostly western wildlife themes with a strong Asian
aesthetic. I enjoy combining materials that are not often associated with traditional bronze. My
desire is for my work to be celebrations of the incredible natural beauty and wildlife around us. I
I believe that the natural world reflects God's character. I often feel a sense of awe and wonder
when I spend time in nature and am reminded of how God relates to me and how he wants me
to relate to others when I observe his creation. My sculptures are songs ,prayers and visual
poems based on things I have observed.
My work has been widely collected across the US and internationally. It has won a number of
awards from the many shows I participate in. I am represented by a number of Galleries mostly
in the western states. Visit my website for more information.
